Grand National 2022: Who won last year's Grand National in 2021?

The world’s most famous steeplechase returns today as the Grand National Festival 2022 continues at Aintree racecourse.

Along with thousands of racegoers at Aintree, hundreds of millions of viewers are expected to tune into the main event at 5.15pm today, to see which horse will be first past the winning post. The Grand National returns later today for 2022, with a full capacity crowd at Aintree for the first time since 2019 after the coronavirus pandemic caused its cancellation back in 2020.

It is expected that up to 600 million people globally could watch the main event - making it the most viewed British horse race. You can find the full list of Grand National 2022 runners here.

The final day of the Grand National 2021 saw history made, as Rachael Blackmore became the first female rider to win the Grand National. Despite there being no crowds, the world was watching at home, as Minella Times was first to pass the racing post

Speaking to ITV after the race last year, Blackmore said: "I don't feel male or female right now. I don't even feel human."
