The world’s most famous steeplechase returns today as the Grand National Festival 2022 continues at Aintree racecourse.
Along with thousands of racegoers at Aintree, hundreds of millions of viewers are expected to tune into the main event at 5.15pm today, to see which horse will be first past the winning post. The Grand National returns later today for 2022, with a full capacity crowd at Aintree for the first time since 2019 after the coronavirus pandemic caused its cancellation back in 2020.
It is expected that up to 600 million people globally could watch the main event - making it the most viewed British horse race. You can find the full list of Grand National 2022 runners here.
