Grand National 2022 start time of main race at Aintree on Saturday

The world’s most famous steeplechase is just days away as the Grand National Festival 2022 launches at Aintree racecourse today.

Along with thousands of racegoers at Aintree, hundreds of millions of viewers are expected to tune into the main event on Saturday, April 9, to see which horse will be crowned the winner. Live coverage of the 2022 Grand National will be broadcast on ITV and dedicated horse racing channel Racing TV, showing coverage of each and every race over the next three days.

The Grand National returns for 2022, with a full capacity crowd at Aintree for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic caused its cancellation back in 2020. It is expected that up to 600 million people globally could watch the main event - making it the most viewed British horse race.
