The famous day is here and tens of thousands of people will be heading to Aintree racecourse to catch a glimpse of some of the world's finest horse racing in the Grand National.
For the first time since 2019, the racecourse is able to welcome spectators, each eager to back a winner in the Grand National at 17:15pm, Saturday, 9 April. Thursday and Friday's racing have both been blighted by typically changeable spring weather.
Nonetheless, Ladies Day saw the return of stunning fashion as thousands dressed to impress, despite the forecast predicting it would 'feel like 2°' and the threat of a thunderstorm looming over proceedings. However, good news for Grand National racegoers, as the Met Office predicts a sunny day on Saturday.

Crowds are set to enjoy April sunshine in the morning and into the afternoon, but brief showers could arrive around 1pm. A dry but cold early start with widespread frost is forecast according to the Met Office, with cloud bubbling up from mid morning, which could lead to a few scattered showers, though these may never materialise.
Saturday promises to have the best conditions of the three days, with it forecast to be bright and dry into late afternoon - perfect for revellers looking to continue their day out into the evening. In contrast to Thursday, which saw gusts of up to 70mph, no rail or road disruption is predicted as a result of adverse weather.
There is likely to be a maximum temperature of 8°, which will 'feel like' like just 5°. Grand National day will see around 80,000 people gather at Aintree for seven top-class races across the day. The order of running is as follows:
