With hundreds of millions of viewers expected to tune into the three-day Grand National event at Aintree, punters will need to make sure they miss none of the action if they are to have a successful festival. Though £300million is bet on Saturday's main event in the UK alone, 21 races are spread across the three days in early April, including 11 Grade 1 events.
Live coverage of the 2022 Grand National will be broadcast on ITV and dedicated horse racing channel Racing TV, showing coverage of each and every race. Starting on Thursday, 7 April, with NHS Day races come thick and fast throughout each afternoon.
NHS Day honours the efforts of staff during the pandemic, with the racecourse donating 10,000 Grand National Thursday tickets to NHS workers across Merseyside. Friday is Ladies Day, which celebrates racing and fashion, then Saturday is the Grand National.
