It was a dramatic ride around the four mile and 514 yard course at Aintree on Saturday and unfortunately there were some fallers during the course of the race.
The 16 Grand National fences are always a tricky prospect for horses and with two laps of the course to complete, it is not an easy task to finish the race.
Fences such as Beecher's Brook and The Canal Turn always have an impact on the field, with both a tricky obstacle to navigate and likely to bring horses down every year.
Unfortunately there may also be injuries suffered by horses, with 29 horses dying in the famous race since 2010 and animal rights campaigners calling for the race to be made safer.
Here, we take a look at who fell during the course of the race.
