Gran's luxury £3,000 Turkey holiday in jeopardy due to passport delay submitted three months ago

A tearful grandmother has revealed she faces losing out on a £3,000 luxury holiday to Turkey due to the ongoing huge delays with passport applications.

Mary O’Riordan applied for grandson Alex’s passport renewal in February, as the family have scheduled a trip to Turkey’s five-star Mukarnas Spa and Resort.

However, due to a catalogue of processing delays their passport application has been put on hold - more than three months later.
