Gran in 'despair' after losing £53,000 due to sudden change of state pension age

A woman claims to have lost out on £53,0000 after her state pension age was increased without any warning.

65-year-old Ann Hughes says she found numerous health problems after being forced to continue working, after her discovery that her state pension age had been raised with ‘no warning whatsoever.’

Ann worked from the age of 15 to the age of 63, when poor health meant she had to leave her job as a care worker, according to Lancs Live.
