Grainne Seoige’s new dating TV show is being hailed as the Irish version of Love Island - with 12 singletons hoping to find their love match as well as improve their cúpla focail.
The TV presenter, who was raised in Spiddal, in the heart of Connemara, Co Galway, is a fluent Gaeilgeoir - and is looking forward to sharing her love of the Irish language with the show’s contestants.
She said: "I’m really looking forward to the craic we’ll have cheering the couples on, as they get a blas (taste) for Gaeilge."

The show’s winning couple will get the chance to win a grand prize to the value of €10k.
Speaking of the reward, Grainne added: "The grand prize should bring out the teanga dhúchais (mother tongue) in all of them."
The TV contestants will be put through their paces and have to overcome challenges - while hoping for Cupid to strike.
The much-anticipated Virgin Media show will air later this year, and Grainne will be the Cinnire Grá (Captain of Love).
James Kavanagh and Síomha Ní Ruairc will also be hosts, helping the group of Irish singles find love.
Grainne is now back living in Galway with her husband, Leon, after a few years living in South Africa.
In 2022 she returned to Irish TV screens when she appeared on Dancing with the Stars.
