Graham Potter is uncertain whether Enzo Fernandez will have a role against Fulham when Chelsea welcome their west London rivals to Stamford Bridge on Friday night. The World Cup winner arrived at Chelsea in a £106.7million deal on transfer deadline day and only flew into London on Wednesday afternoon to familiarise himself with his new teammates at Cobham.
The 22-year-old still needs to have confirmation that his paperwork has been cleared but the Blues boss has nevertheless had some early conversations with his new signing and been impressed. While the deal itself was not clarified until late in the day, it was not something that stressed Potter as he continued in the day-to-day aspects of his role.
Potter said: "I'm the head coach so I don't get too involved in the nitty gritty of deadline day. I am focused on the next day's training and preparing the team for Fulham.
