Graham Potter has had his odds slashed by the bookmakers to become the next Premier League manager sacked after Chelsea lost 2-0 to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
The manager oversaw his first loss in five games but the defeat left his side in the bottom half, still without a win against a team that started the day above them in the league. Meanwhile, fan favourite Thomas Tuchel went top of Bundesliga in Germany with Bayern Munich, rubbing salt in the wounds.
Potter has already been under immense pressure at Chelsea but had briefly settled things with a run of three successive wins before the international break. The late 2-2 draw with Everton put his future in the air once more though and this was not the response the head coach was after.

Goals from Ollie Watkins and John McGinn either side of half-time saw Unai Emery's men take the three points to leave Potter and Chelsea stranded in 11th place. Supporters at the stadium once more let their frustration be known, booing the side off at the break and at full-time, even with a large portion having already left.
The bookmakers reflect this sour feeling at SW6. Betfair have cut the odds on Potter losing his job next to 10/3 from 11/1. Though he is still not the favourite to go next, with Brendan Rodgers and David Moyes both deemed more likely, it is a big move from how he started the day.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Chelsea dropped out of the top 10 with a 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday evening, which will only add even more pressure on Graham Potter’s job. Odds on Potter to be the next top-flight manager to leave their role have been slashed to 10/3 from 11/1."
Meanwhile those that have been tipped to become the next permanent man in the hotseat haven't changed too much. Mauricio Pochettino is still the favourite but former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has moved into second spot with Zinedine Zidane further back at 6/1.
