Graham Potter already has Chelsea blueprint to correct Thomas Tuchel's Arsenal problem

Chelsea manager Graham Potter can look to correct a major problem Thomas Tuchel faced when the Blues take on Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

Potter has confirmed that both Ben Chilwell and Kepa Arrizabalaga will not be available for the London Derby against the Gunners of Sunday afternoon. The injury to Chilwell leaves Chelsea with just five fit defenders heading into the clash against the Premier League leaders who have enjoyed some strong results at Stamford Bridge in their last three visits to west London.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will line up for the Blues against his former side for the first time since leaving the Emirates Stadium back in the January transfer window. Potter has played down the narrative surrounding Aubameyang and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta but will be hoping the Gabonese forward can come back to haunt the Gunners on Sunday.

Potter will be hoping he can correct a key problem that his predecessor faced during his time as Chelsea manager. Tuchel failed to beat the Gunners at Stamford Bridge with the Blues losing 1-0 and 4-2 under his management, despite winning away at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Brighton boss was able to go unbeaten against the Gunners last term, picking up a brilliant 2-1 win in north London and holding Arteta's side to 0-0 draw at home. Potter has a pretty impressive record against Arsenal and Arteta, losing just twice in six meetings against the north Londoners.

Potter could use this blueprint to benefit Chelsea this weekend as the Blues aim to close the gap at the top of the table and reclaim a top four spot ahead of the World Cup beginning later this month. The west London outfit come into the clash against the Premier League leaders following a dismal performance in their 4-1 defeat to Brighton, with the Gunners fresh off the back of an emphatic 5-0 win against Nottingham Forest, but it is shaping up to be a fiery affair at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
