Graham McTavish reprises Dracula role in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse voice cast

Konami has revealed the English voice cast for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, with Graham McTavish returning as Dracula after playing the vampire in Netflix’s Castlevania series. Alejandra Reynoso is also reprising her Netflix role as Sypha Belnades, while Liam O’Brien returns as Isaac more than 20 years after voicing him in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness.

Abby Trott will lead the new game as Rose Belmont, the daughter of Trevor Belmont, with JB Blanc taking over as Trevor. Ray Chase voices The Fallen, Erica Lindbeck plays Joan of Arc, Melique Berger is Medusa, Dawn M. Bennett takes on Carmilla, and Aaron LaPlante voices Death.

Character Voice actor
Rose Belmont Abby Trott
Trevor Belmont JB Blanc
Sypha Belnades Alejandra Reynoso
The Fallen Ray Chase
Joan of Arc Erica Lindbeck
Medusa Melique Berger
Carmilla Dawn M. Bennett
Death Aaron LaPlante
Isaac Liam O’Brien
Dracula Graham McTavish

McTavish voiced Dracula throughout Netflix’s original Castlevania series, which ran from 2017 to 2021, while Reynoso played Sypha opposite Richard Armitage’s Trevor Belmont. Belmont’s Curse uses a different actor for Trevor, but keeps both McTavish and Reynoso in the roles they played in the animated adaptation.

O’Brien returns to a role he portrayed more than 20 years ago in 2005’s Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, where he played Isaac. Netflix’s version of Isaac was voiced by Adetokumboh M’Cormack and differed substantially from the game character. As Belmont’s Curse takes place 20 years after the events of Curse of Darkness, O’Brien’s return makes the most sense.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is set in Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Trevor is still alive and fighting monsters, but Rose Belmont is the protagonist, taking up the Vampire Killer as creatures pour into Paris from Dracula’s castle.

Rose can use weapons from seven different categories alongside Relics, while defeated bosses become Arcana that unlock additional spells and abilities. The game returns to the series’ exploration-focused 2D format and is being developed by Evil Empire, with Dead Cells developer Motion Twin serving in an advisory role.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 15.
