Graeme Souness has left his punditry role with Sky Sports after 15 years on TV screens.
The former Liverpool and Rangers midfielder has been a fixture of Sky's Premier League coverage and is one of the most recognised pundits in the game. Known for his outspoken style, he started punditry with Sky in 2008 after his spell as Newcastle manager and has since been a regular face. He announced he was leaving after Liverpool's 4-3 win over Tottenham to a round of applause in the studio.
Souness, who turns 70 next month, didn't announce what his next step was but said: "I was given an opportunity to do this and it was magnificent. It has just been the most fantastic time for me."
Sky Sports director of football Gary Hughes said: "We will miss Graeme's no-nonsense approach in the studio - matched only by his playing style. The insight and winning mentality he brought to our viewers as a result of his years' of experience as both a player and a manager has been invaluable to our coverage. We wish him all the best for the future."
