Graeme Souness has revealed that he is "still waiting" for an invite from Jack Grealish to go on a night out with the Manchester City star.
Grealish had jokingly invited the pundit to go out with him after a war of words erupted between the pair. The offer seemingly put an end to their escalating rivalry, with Liverpool icon Souness admitting his desire to join Grealish for a night on the town despite criticising his performances for City.
The England international quickly agreed, but insisted that Paul Pogba be brought along as well. It appears a date is still to be decided and Souness is growing impatient, even though he praised Grealish for his starring role in City's derby-day win over Manchester United.
"I thought he had a really good first half, I thought he did, he had a really good first-half. I'm still waiting for the invitation Jack. My choice of restaurant, I choose the wines and you pick the tab up," Souness told talkSPORT.
The suggestion of a night out came after Souness responded to Grealish's accusation that the Scot had a "problem" with him. Souness rubbished that claim, insisting he was a fan of the 27-year-old.
"I don’t have a problem with Grealish, I don’t have a problem with anyone. I think he’s a good player, technically he’s fantastic, but being a really good technician is only a part of the game," he told talkSPORT.

"I’m sure if I met Jack I would really like him. He’s a cheeky chappy and I’d like to have a night out with him as well, but I just feel the modern player doesn’t take criticism very well. I don’t have a vendetta against anyone at all, this is just my opinion at this time about Grealish.
"And, really, Jack doesn’t have to listen to me, he doesn’t have to listen to anyone. The only opinion that should count for Grealish is his manager. Jack has got the dribbling ability very few players have, and that kind of ability gets you on the edge of your seat, but you’ve got to deliver at the end of it.
"There is absolutely no agenda against Jack. I’d love a night out with him, I’m not sure I could stay with him, but I’d enjoy a night out with him. He has to choose who to listen to, and if he decides my opinion is not worth listening to, I can live with that. He only has to listen to his manager, he’s the only one he has to impress."
Grealish appeared to take delight in Souness' suggestion, responding to a clip of his comments by writing: "let’s do it!! As long as I can bring Pogba as a +1." So far, he is yet to follow up on Souness' interest, though the Scot could soon be seen joining the City star for a night out.
