Football pundit Graeme Souness got caught up in a road rage rammy after forgetting to take his blood pressure tablets.
The 69-year-old former Liverpool, Rangers and Scotland legend had a confrontation with another driver who called him an “idiot” in a hotel car park.
Souness was making his way to the Talksport studios in London on Monday morning when the bust-up happened.
He admitted that he hated driving in the city but insisted the other driver was to blame – because he was going the wrong way in a car park.
Souness said: “I find London very difficult with the traffic when I drive there. I’m in a car park and I’ve got someone calling me an idiot.
“I was doing nothing wrong this time. He was in the wrong, as he was going the wrong way in a car park. So, there was an early-morning confrontation.
“I need to take more of my pills to keep the blood pressure down. I normally take a blood pressure tablet before going on air.”
The former Scotland captain was making his way to his regular Monday morning slot on the Jim White and Simon Jordan Show on the radio channel.
Souness was diagnosed with coronary heart disease at the age of 38 and had a triple heart bypass. Ten years later, he had a stent fitted as another of his arteries had become blocked.
In November 2015, he was rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home.
The former Ibrox boss has previously said his blood pressure medication and growing older had helped mellow his temper.
