Graeme McDowell hit an outrageous shot at the Waste Management Phoenix Open which he described as "one of the more ridiculous birdies I’ve made in my life".
The Portrush native is three shots off the lead in Arizona after an opening-round 62.
Sharing a video of the birdie putt on the 17th after starting on the 10th, McDowell wrote on Twitter: “Definitely one of the more ridiculous birdies I’ve made in my life.
“Drove it in fairway trap and had to just splash it middle of the green and take my medicine. Well…kind of!!!!”
McDowell began and ended his round with six successive pars, with birdies on the 16th, 17th, 1st and 3rd.
Korean Kyoung-Hoon Lee is at the top of the leaderboard after the opening round, with McDowell three shots behind him in a tie for sixth.
