GP surgery wrecked in attack by angry patient as doctor blames 'unrealistic expectations'

A GP surgery has been wrecked following an attack by an angry patient, reports Derbyshire Live. The practice was left in a mess following the incident with chairs upturned, leaflets scattered and Christmas decorations ripped from the walls.

Following the ordeal, which occurred last month in Derbyshire, a doctor at the practice blamed the attack on 'unrealistic expectations'. Dr Shehla Imtiaz-Umer took to social media to show the waiting room at Wilson Street Surgery in the aftermath of the December 30 frenzy.

She said: "The anti-GP violence, abuse and aggression continue unabated. This is our waiting room at Wilson Street Surgery yesterday after a patient trashed it.
