I've been eyeing up a Gozney oven since I bought my apartment a few years ago. In fact, it's one of the reasons I insisted on having a backyard. But three years later, my yard is still woefully lacking one of the best pizza ovens, and Gozney's latest launch could finally be the oven to change all that.
The newly-announced Gozney Arc Lite oozes with cool, just like its larger predecessors, the Arc and Arc XL, but features a compact, lightweight frame that will slot into the smallest outdoor spaces, from patios to balconies. You could even store it in your car for well-fed road-tripping.
Despite being the brand's most affordable option yet, the Arc Lite features Gozney's signature lateral rolling flame, as well as a 12mm stone floor and user-friendly front-facing dial control. Sign me up! It's available to buy starting March 3rd and retails at at $399 / £349. Here's what you need to know.

Gozney's Arc pizza oven is one of our favorites, scoring four stars in our review. But it's not the best option if you're short on space. The new Arc Lite is significantly smaller and lighter. Weighing 26 lbs, it's almost half the weight of its predecessor, and can be used on a tabletop as opposed to a dedicated stand, meaning you can move it around the yard or even take it on vacation.
The new 12mm cordierite stone is likely one adjustment that's helped the Arc Lite shed some of the weightiness of its predecessor, but one downside of this new slimmer stone, which is 8mm shallower than the original Arc, is that it might not retain heat as well. Its internal capacity is still capable of cooking a decent-sized pizza, but the top capacity is a 12-inch base, not the 14-inch width of the original Arc. The Arc Lite also does away with the in-built temperature dial, so you'll want an infrared thermometer to check the internal temperature of your oven before and between uses.
However, despite these trade-offs, the Arc Lite still hits those sky-high temperatures that will deliver a perfectly leopard-spotted pizza crust every time. Both the Arc and Arc Lite can hit a max temperature of 950°F (500°C) thanks to Gozney's rolling flame technology.
