Government to reveal football regulator plans next week as sweeping reforms promised

The introduction of an independent regulator for football is poised to take a significant step forward next week with the publication of a Government White Paper, promising sweeping reforms.

Prompted by MP Tracey Crouch's fan-led review in November 2021, The Football White Paper is expected to be signed off by the Cabinet shortly before being released next Wednesday — and a leaked version has been seen by The Sun.
