Government to fund Beaumont Street CCTV trial

The state government has agreed to fund a $230,000 CCTV trial on Beaumont Street, Hamilton, after a push to improve safety in one of the city's busiest suburban precincts.

City of Newcastle will install the cameras and lead the three-year trial.
