Government reverses decision on relocating Ukrainian families from Kerry to Mayo

The Government has reversed its decision to relocate Ukrainian families from a hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry, to Westport, Co Mayo.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth confirmed that the planned move of displaced Ukrainian would now not proceed.

Instead, the 135 women and children will now move to alternative accommodation in the town.
