
The Lifetime ISA was created in 2016 as part of “a budget that puts the next generation first”. It aimed to incentivise young people to start saving earlier in life and help them navigate the dilemma between buying a first home and preparing for retirement.
So why, then, 9-years on as part of the 2025 Autumn Budget, has the Government announced it is consulting on replacing it?
