The Irish Government has been accused of “failing miserably” to cut the State’s greenhouse gas emissions.
It follows the latest EU data showing Ireland’s emissions rose 12.3% in the last quarter of 2022 while most other EU countries cut theirs.
On average, EU-wide emissions fell 4% from 978 million tonnes of CO2-eq in Q4 of 2021 to 938 last year.
