Democratic vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz took to the campaign trail in Detroit on Wednesday, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the next president. Walz highlighted the stark differences between Harris and former President Donald Trump, stating that the previous administration attempted to 'steal the joy from this country.' In contrast, Walz praised Harris for bringing joy and emanating positivity.

During his speech, Walz shared personal anecdotes about his upbringing in a small Nebraska town, emphasizing his belief in Harris' commitment to the American people. The campaign event in Detroit was part of a series of stops in battleground states, with Harris and Walz previously visiting Wisconsin before arriving in Michigan.

Upon their arrival in Michigan, Harris and Walz were met with cheers from the crowd as they disembarked Air Force Two. The duo's presence energized supporters as they continue their push towards Election Day.

During his address in Michigan, Walz demonstrated compassion by calling for medical assistance for an individual in the audience. He directed attention to the person in need and ensured they received water, commending the community for their care and solidarity.

The campaign's focus on engaging with voters and addressing local concerns underscores the significance of grassroots support in the upcoming election. With both sides intensifying their efforts in key states, the race for the presidency remains dynamic and closely contested.
