New York Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that her team will be evaluating the impact and potential damage caused by the recent earthquake that struck New Jersey on Friday. The earthquake, measuring 4.8 magnitude, originated west of Manhattan and was felt across New York state.

Governor Hochul stated, 'My team is currently assessing any impacts and damage that may have occurred as a result of the earthquake. We are committed to keeping the public informed and will provide updates throughout the day.'
