Gov. Greg Abbott touts endorsements from Democratic sheriffs from border counties in final early voting push

Gov. Greg Abbott announced endorsements from a dozen Democratic Texas sheriffs on Monday, a notable promotion of cross-partisan support on the first day of early voting.

By Wednesday, two of those sheriffs said they had not endorsed the governor, leaving the list at 10.
