Gourmet burger business to open new location in former Kirkby in Ashfield bank

Signs have appeared in a former bank builder suggesting a new takeaway could be opening in a town centre. Since the closure of the Lloyds bank on Station Street, Kirkby in Ashfield, residents in the area have been waiting to see what will open in its place.

The empty unit has recently been taken over, and large yellow signs have been placed in the windows. The signs show the Hungrilla Gourmet Grill logo and states 'Coming Soon' above it. Hungrilla is a popular burger restaurant with a location in both Nottingham and Mansfield, which have hundreds of five star reviews online.

The business specialises in gourmet burgers, but is also loved for its milkshakes, chicken wings and fries. There is also an option for customers to craft their own burgers.

Poll: Where is the best café in Nottinghamshire? Have your say

It is not yet known when the fast food chain will open its new location.

Reviewers raved about the food in the Mansfield restaurant. One said: "Very happy with my experience, me and my husband went there for first time. Very good and friendly staff.

"The food is 11/10, best burgers I have ate and everything is cooked fresh. Everything is nice and clean including toilets. We definitely be coming back."

Another wrote: "For the price this is certainly worth a visit and the food is good, flavoursome and quick."
