While you play through Gotham Knights and investigate The Court of Owls and their connections to the Kane Family, you’ll be presented with a puzzle that clearly blocks a secret elevator. This is definitely the way forward, but the wall is covered with squares and symbols, and the answer isn’t too obvious at first.
This 4×4 grid is a puzzle that’s necessary in order to progress the game, and if you’re not sure how to get past it, this is going to be very complicated. In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know to solve the puzzle yourself, or the actual answer if you’re feeling impatient.
How to solve the secret elevator Sudoku puzzle – Gotham Knights
As the header there may have indicated, yes, the wall puzzle covering the entrance to Jacob Kane’s secret elevator is actually Sudoku, but it’s on a 4×4 grid and uses symbols instead of numbers.
The same rules still apply though: each symbol can appear in each row/column only once. Luckily several symbols are already filled in to start with, and you should start by completing the rows that have the most symbols in already.
None of the squares should be empty – all of the squares require a symbol to fill the space. Now you know how to figure it out by yourself – or you can look at our solution below…

Now that you know how to solve it, the only thing left to do is actually solve it. Simply mimic the symbol layout in our picture above, and you’ll be able to continue your Gotham Knights adventure.
