A hotel design which boasts 'dark sensuality' and has appeared on Peaky Blinders is planning on coming to Glasgow.
Hotel Gotham, which is a five-star hotel in Manchester and has appeared on screen as well as attracted celebrities off screen, is looking to convert three B-listed buildings from offices in Blythswood Square into a “luxurious” Gotham-style getaway.
Glasgow City Council received a design statement saying the hotel - which has attracted names like Simon Cowell, Jennifer Hudson, Will.i.am and Robbie Williams in the past - would appeal to guests on the look out for a “spectacular destination” who crave a “unique experience”.
It said: “Following on from the success of Hotel Gotham in Manchester, the intent is to bring Gotham’s style of dark sensuality to Glasgow.”
”Historical features will be treated sympathetically, in line with the aesthetic spirit of this gorgeous example of Georgian architecture.”
The three storey and basement bay houses at 5-7 Blythswood Square were built around 1829.
Number 5 currently boasts an Art Nouveau doorpiece by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Bespoke Hotels on the Blythswood Square plan has previously said there would be 57 bedrooms and the hotel in Manchester has a rooftop private bar and a two AA Rosette awarded restaurant.
