Got over-emotional after second set: Aryna Sabalenka

NEW YORK: Aryna Sabalenka came a cropper to Aryna in the US Open final. "In the first set I was dealing with my emotions quite good. I was focused on myself, not on the crowd or the way she was moving," said Sabalenka, who went down in three sets to Coco Gauff.

"Definitely she was moving just unbelievable today. In the second set I started overthinking and because of that I started losing my power. I started missing a lot of easy shots," the 25-year-old, who had 46 unforced errors in the match said. "The good news is that it's me against me. The bad one is that I'm still having these issues playing against myself," she said.

In the second set, the near-25,000 crowd that cheered Sabalenka's every error and fault serve, had got to her.

"I'm making a lot of winners and a lot of unforced errors, today more unforced errors," said Sabalenka, who was beginning to tire in the decider.

"I got over emotional after the second set."
