GOT Author George R.R. Martin Has Gone Rogue And Hinted At Some House Of The Dragon BTS Drama

GOT Game of Thrones author george r.r martin and House of the Dragon

Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin has come out and made some questionable remarks about HBO’s House of the Dragon.

While he’s notorious for taking a million years to finish writing his books, he’s somehow put time aside to churn out a few blog entries, and he dropped some pretty spicy info in the latest one.

According to the author, he’s planning on writing some other blog posts detailing “everything that’s gone wrong” when it comes to the prequel series. You can’t just drop a bombshell like that and walk away, George!

“I do not look forward to other posts I need to write, about everything that’s gone wrong with House of the Dragon… but I need to do that too, and I will. Not today, though,” he said.

The majority of the blog post was about a holiday he took in Belfast and the Burning of Zozobra festival in Santa Fe, but he also shared some grim personal updates.

“This has not been a good year for anyone, with war everywhere and fascism on the rise… and on a more personal level, I have had a pretty wretched year as well, one full of stress, anger, conflict and defeat,” he wrote.

“I need to talk about some of that, and I will, I will… a lot of things that needed saying did not get said.”

This isn’t the first time the author has talked about HOTD on his blog — but usually, he only has positive things to say.

However, he recently lamented a decision concerning the appearances of the HOTD dragons in a nearly 1700-word essay.

In Game of Thrones, all his sigils were supposed to have two legs, but according to him, “someone got sloppy” in season five and they appeared with four legs. This translated to HOTD, where sigils have four legs instead of two.

“They went with the bad sigil rather than the good one. That sound you heard was me screaming, ‘no, no, no’,” he wrote.

“Fantasy needs to be grounded. It is not simply a license to do anything you like… ignore canon, and the world you’ve created comes apart like tissue paper.”

I’m patiently waiting for his blog post where he spills all the tea. The only question is: will he leave us hanging for years like his book readers??
