The latest Covid-19 rates for the North East show that Gosforth continues to be the region's coronavirus hotspot - but rates are also increasing in some other areas.
Coxlodge and West Gosforth continues to have the highest rate in the region (1,338.2 cases per 100,000 residents) over the past seven days, while South Gosforth (1,319) and North Gosforth (1,226.7) are also in the top five.
However, North Cramlington in Northumberland is now the second worst affected area with a rate of 1,322,7, with West Monkseaton in North Tyneside's rate of 1,264.7 makes it fourth.

At the other end of the scale, Windy Nook and Whitehills in Gateshead has the lowest rate in the region with a rate of 178.3 cases per 100,000 -and new cases have fallen in the area by 29.4% compared to the previous period.
Northumberland currently has the highest rate of cases in terms of local authorities, with 2,681 cases confirmed in the seven days to March 20, giving a rate of 827.9 cases per 100,000.
North Tyneside follows with a rate of 812, with the rest of the region's rates as follows:

- Sunderland - 654
- Gateshead - 646.7
- Newcastle - 646
- South Tyneside - 539.3
The latest figures from Public Health England show there are currently 2,152 people with Covid in hospitals across the North East and Yorkshire, with 39 on ventilation beds.
In the North East, 23 people have died in the last seven days within 28 days of testing positive for the virus.
