Gorgeous retro-style Primark shoes send shoppers into frenzy - and they're only £18

Primark has announced the release of their own retro-style clogs for just £18 per pair. The retailer has once again delighted fans by revealing the new item on their social media page - and it's available in stores now.

Retro style is back with a vengeance in high street shops with many fashion trends from days gone by making a resurgence. Clogs made a huge impression in the fashion world during the 70s with virtually every style icon, model, or actress donning a pair at some point.

Now, Primark shoppers have the chance to get their hands on their own pair at a bargain price. The slingback clogs, which are slip-on, have a slightly wedged heel with a stylish buckle over the top of the shoe.

In a post shared to their Facebook page - which has more than 6.5 million likes - the picture shows two pairs of the slingback clogs available in either a black or brown leather look. "New shoes alert," Primark announced. "Tag someone who would love these."

And many eager shoppers were quick to gush over the new shoes, with many people emphasising how comfy they are. Danielle Walton commented she had bought both pairs and said they were "really comfy". Rachel Simcock has already made her purchase and confirmed the shoes were comfortable to wear.

One commenter Lynda Bennett said she "had a pair of these around 1974", remarking on their likeness to the 1970s fashion staple. Jackie Osborne also added she had a similar pair when she was younger.

Aileen Flyn said she "might have to have a look at these" in store. Debbie Sleight admitted: "Yet another item on my list of 'to buy' and don't know which colour either so looks like being both."

While others questioned why the clothing retailer hasn't made their range available online, Primark said they had "no plans in the future" to move to online shopping. Head over to the Primark website and use their store locator to find your nearest branch.
