Southwell has been named as the best place to live in Nottinghamshire, with a lifestyle website describing it as a "gorgeous place to relocate." The Muddy Stilettos website has compiled its regular list of the best places to live within England's counties.
For Nottinghamshire, the list says Southwell is the county's best place to live. The website describes the town by saying: "With its famous cathedral, rolling hills and an impressive history, tourists flock to lovely Southwell.
"But away from the season, this Nottinghamshire town has got so much to offer as a gorgeous place to relocate." The website notes the several attractions that Southwell has to offer, including Southwell Minster and the racecourse.

Other locations to have made the list of eight best places to live in Nottinghamshire include Newark and Beeston. Wollaton and West Bridgford hold the fourth and fifth places on the list respectively.
Edwinstowe comes in at number six, down from the last list when it was previously crowned Nottinghamshire's best place to live. Burton Joyce, meanwhile, comes out as the best Nottinghamshire village to live.
The website says of Burton Joyce: "For a close-knit community, a charming rural village feel and fantastic transport links, look no further than Burton Joyce." Farnsfield, near Newark, holds the eighth spot on the list.
