Gordon Smart left many BBC viewers saying the same thing on Monday, as he 'switched' channels to become a host on Morning Live, having presented Good Morning Britain over on ITV, just a few months ago.
Journalist and radio presenter Gordon was met with a very positive reaction from fans at home when he joined the GMB team for a brief stint as a main anchor at the end of 2022, with plenty of viewers saying he was a 'vast improvement' on Richard Madeley and Ed Balls and calling for him to be a full time host. While that didn't end up happening, Gordon is now back on daytime TV, having landed a job on BBC One programme Morning Live.
Gordon made his debut on the 9am show, alongside Michelle Ackerley on Monday, June 26, when the duo were joined by guests including Not Going Out star Hugh Dennis and Strictly Come Dancing pro Neil Jones. And just like when he kicked off his stint as Good Morning Britain guest host, Twitter was quickly full of people saying they wanted to see more of him.

All this success is so well-deserved. Great to see good people get good things."
Teasing his new role, Gordon gave his own Twitter followers a quick look at a screen test he did for Morning Live, alongside famous presenter Gaby Roslin.
