Gordon Ramsay's toe-curling response after waitress makes scrambled eggs blunder

It is no secret that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is notoriously hard to please.

So, when an actual mis-step arises, you can bet he will not be one to hide his annoyance.

And this can is proven in a sneak peak of his new show 'Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars.'

In a viral Instagram clip, shared on the Scottish chef's Instagram, the fiery celeb made fans cringe during an awkward encounter with a waitress.

During the video, a well-dressed Gordon is putting in a breakfast order at a restaurant as he orders a fry up.

After asking for a full English breakfast with scrambled egg, the waitress politely asks "and how would you like your scrambled eggs?"

An unimpressed Gordon responds by saying "scrambled", as he exhales in frustration.

The video, which has gained over 300k likes, is captioned: "It's going to be a very long breakfast on #FutureFoodStars tonight at 9 on @bbc if this is how it starts #FFS."

Responses have been mixed, with some viewers asking Gordon to go easy on the woman.

One comment read: "Poor thing as probably so nervous. Lord knows I've said some interesting things when my anxiety was running high."

Another said: "Obvs very nervous give her a break."

Others have argued that it is a fair question.

One viewer commented: "I think that's a fair question some like scrambled runny some like it well cooked."

But some agreed with Gordon, with one commenter joking: "it's like asking what do you put inside a toaster...toast obviously."

The show sees 12 food entrepreneurs fight for a life-changing investment of £150,000 of Gordon's own money for their food business. Gordon puts the contenders through a series of challenges that test their personality and business knowledge.

You can 'Gordon Ramsay's Future Food Stars' every Thursday at nine pm on BBC or the BBC iPlayer.
