Gordon Ramsay poses for snap in Rangers shirt with manager and players

Gordon Ramsay visited Rangers Training Centre today and posed for photos with players and members of staff.

The Hell's Kitchen star stopped by his former club and even had a look around the kitchen. The official Rangers Instagram and Twitter accounts posted a series of snaps of Gordon sporting a Gers shirt with 'CHEF RAMSAY' on the back.

In the first picture the Scots chef posed with the Dutch manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst as he presented him with his new shirt. In the next snap, John Lundstram gave the thumbs up as he got his picture with the famous chef.

Gordon posed with several other members of staff before being snapped in deep conversation with Gers captain James Tavernier - with the pair both in blue.

And fans were absolutely loving the pictures, with many flocking to the comments. One wrote: "You love too see it."

While another added: "More content please! What’s he doing there? I’m too nosey for just a couple of photos." And another said: "Great to see Chef Ramsay at Ibrox. Hopefully waving his magic over the grub served in the food outlets. One can but hope."

Rangers hold a special place for Gordon as he actually signed with them when he was just 15-years-old. Ramsay was born in Johnstone but moved to Stratford-upon-Avon when he was just five.

Gordon's first love was football as he set his sights early on a career as a professional sports star. In an article for The Guardian, Gordon explained how he first fell in love with the game of soccer. "My uncle Roland took me to my first game at Ibrox," he wrote.

"I was seven and I went on his shoulders. The crowd was just phenomenal. "We were standing by the terraces and I remember getting slightly nervous, and very scared. Because you just swayed then, you just moved in a sway formation.

"I think it was against Hearts and it was dirty — I mean very dirty — and Rangers won 1-0. Those games are always going to be dirty for the next century, because it's just an all-blood tie. And I loved it."

Impressively, at just 15-year-old, Ramsay had joined Rangers - a real full circle moment for the budding star. However, his football dream was short lived and after just three years, in 1985, Gordon got a knee injury which permanently ended his sporting career.

Forced to start over, he returned to school, earning a degree in hotel management in 1987.
