Gogglebox stars were shocked as they saw Will Smith hit comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars for the first time. The familiar faces returned to give their take on the week's TV on the Channel 4 show - and one moment stunned viewers.
In this week's show - which aired on Friday, April 1 - the families reacted to Bridgerton and Gordon Ramsey's Future Food Stars amongst other programmes and we saw some priceless reaction. But they were most vocal about the footage of Will Smith's slap of Chris Rock at The Oscars, following a joke about Will Smith's wife.
The armchair critics watched an ITV clip of the incident, where, while presenting for the best documentary feature category, comedian Rock decided to throw a jibe about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head. He said: "Jada, can't wait for GI Jane 2." Will - who was less than impressed with the quip - walked up to the stage and slapped the presenter, before returning to his seat.

Marcus and Mica discussed what they would do in the situation after watching the slap, with the couple commenting on Mica's own alopecia. Mica said: "I don't think that Chris Rock knew that my girl has got alopecia you know. Marcus added: "And he just walked off like a cowboy after."
"I don't think it was really worth the slap if you know what I mean," Mica said, after watching the ITV report. "Well it's her crown and baby, I have seen how you feel about your alopecia at times and a woman's crown is her crown.
Mica replied that she would not expect Marcus to act in the same way. "Well thank God for that, thank God for that," Marcus joked. As Tremaine, Twaine and Tristan recoiled as the punch landed, Tristan said: "I still cannot believe he slapped him like, like I thought that was just play acting."
Giles and Mary commented on the slap, with Mary saying: "Biggest moment of his career." "He's been trying to get an Oscar for decades Mary," Giles added. Sophie and Pete, were also stunned by the slap. Pete said: "Will's laughing and Jada's not."
Sophie said: "He found the joke funny, she didn't so therefore the joke is not funny. "It's not funny so the next thing he's having to respond," Pete added.
Sophie, after watching Will Smith shout following the slap, said: "If I was in that situation and it was my husband that had got up and done that, I'd be fuming at the husband. Because if I have a problem with something I will sort it myself I don't need somebody to speak up on my behalf."
As reported by the Mirror, later on in the evening, Will went on to win his first Oscar for his performance in King Richard and apologised on stage for his previous actions. While on stage accepting his award, he said: "I want to apologise to the Academy, I want to apologise to all my fellow nominees."
