Google to invest $50 million to train over 300,000 workers for construction and technical jobs

Google has announced a $50 million commitment to train more than 300,000 workers in construction and technical jobs such as electrical work, plumbing and manufacturing amid a growing labour shortage.

The funding will support training programmes across more than 20 states, working with 14 labour unions and four trade and contractor associations.
