Controversial Married At First Sight (MAFS) groom Tyson Gordon has stormed out of the experiment on tonight’s episode after his wife, Stephanie Marshall, dared to speak up about how she’s feeling in their relationship.
When the pair took the couch tonight, MAFS expert John Aiken noticed that Steph felt distanced from her husband, despite Tyson wanting a pat on the back for his efforts in the relationship this week.
Steph told John that she’s been struggling to have a constructive conversation with Tyson and has been suppressing her feelings to avoid arguing with the bloke. One thing that’s been on her mind? How Tyson’s words have impact, like the views he expressed in his audition video about wanting gay people to “keep it behind closed doors”.
MAFS husbands Sam Stanton and Chris Robinson jumped in to give Tyson a lesson in humanity while standing up for the LGBTQIA+ community. “We’re getting suppressed all the time, and you’re an example that it still exists out there,” Sam told Tyson.
In discussing how Tyson’s words have impact, Steph also brought up his use of the word “submissive” and how she feels he disrespects women. Tyson got worked up, accusing Steph of making him out to be someone he believes he is not. He has a mother! And a sister! And gay friends!
“I do not see a future here with this person at all,” Tyson declared, claiming he would be going back to the Gold Coast. “I’m done with this bickering. I’m done with this bullshit. I’m done with this experiment.”
Tyson, a fully-grown adult man, then walked out on Steph, leaving expert Mel Schilling to step in and comfort her.
“As soon as I open my mouth, now he’s fucking gone,” Steph said.
Upon his departure, MAFS fans took to social media to point out that Tyson couldn’t hack being called out.
Others were just flat-out celebrating the back of a man who shouldn’t have been ever allowed on our television screens. Same tbh.
Let’s hope there’s no surprise return at any dinner parties, couples retreats and even MAFS reunions. No thank you!!!
