Good night for Demon but goodnight Vienna for Popyrin

While it proved another good night in Vienna for Alex de Minaur, it has been a case of Goodnight Vienna for Australia's other top men's star Alexei Popyrin.

At the ATP 250 Vienna Open indoor hardcourt event, de Minaur put paid to the hopes of local Filip Misolic, on Wednesday evening, just two days after knocking out another Austrian, Jurij Rodionov, to notch up his 300th tour-level win.

Setting off on what he smiled would be his next 300, the Australian No.1 this time turned out to be a notch above his counterpart Misolic, the world No.95, who was cheered to the rafters by the crowd at the Wiener Stadthalle but still succumbed 6-4 6-4 in just under an hour-and-a-half.
