CBDT The Central Board of Direct Taxes the Income Tax Department

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has released its Central Action Plan (CAP) 2026-2027, which lays out the tax department’s roadmap and operational priorities for Tax Year 2026-2027. This central action plan was released on May 8, 2026 and is an internal document not in public domain and for CBDT's internal use only.

As per the CAP 2026-2027 plan, some of the key operational priority for the Income Tax Department includes:
