Good Morning Britain fans have threatened to 'switch off' following an announcement regarding a change to the show issued on Wednesday.
The ITV programme saw Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis hosting the regular 'Wallet Wednesdays' segment, in which the Money Saving Expert questions and explains money issues amid the Cost of Living crisis, reports Manchester Evening News.
However, during the programme, a message was posted on the official GMB Twitter account which featured a clip of host Susanna addressing the camera from inside the London-based studio.
"Join us in celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla with a special episode of Good Morning Britain live from Westminster Abbey," the presenter said in the video in front of a new, royal-themed backdrop, rebranded for the coronation on May 6.
"We will be joined by famous friends, family, courtiers and commentators as the minutes tick down to this historic occasion," Susanna added of the special episode, which will air from 6am on Saturday ahead of the historic ceremony.
But some of the show's viewers flocked to respond - and not all were positive. @MoiraR2023 sarcastically replied: "Mmm think I’m washing my hair then checking I’ve enough money to cover my bills this month!" @jjhlovessph commented: "I will be unplugging the tv on Saturday."
@slimfastdai said: "I'll give it a miss." However, @justjamess87 replied: "Can't wait. What a joyous journey it will be. Im 36 and have loved and been bought up with the royals, what a way for people to come together celebrate and have a wonderful extended weekend. Exciting stuff also."
@Hetty2 said: "Look forward to it. What a wonderful day it will be@nelleseivad added: "Yeh can’t wait Susanna and Ben I’ll be watching."
