Good Morning Britain star Nick Dixon has been forced to hit back after being accused of 'breaking the law' while appearing live on the latest edition of the show.
The ITV news programme was back on air on Monday morning (July 3) with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls at the helm. During the show, they spoke live via video link to GMB correspondent Nick was reporting live from Lancing in Sussex where he was sharing news on an official police investigation.
An investigation has been launched after a video emerged on social media apparently showing a police officer refusing a request to respond to a crime that was taking place just metres away.

As he shared details of what has happened and why, Nick was seen "jumping into a taxi" to show viewers how quickly the police car could have arrived at the Co-op store where the alleged assault was taking place.
But due to the camera angle, some people watching at home thought Nick didn't have a seatbelt on during the journey and his live report led to some messages on social media.
@chasnbons tweeted: "I'm sure @NickDixonITV just drove to COOP without a seat belt on. That's a crime isn't it?" @P15pm said: "Nick Dixon should've worn a seatbelt".
But after seeing the messages, Nick felt inclined to respond. Alongside a clip of himself in the car, the reporter tweeted: "For anyone wondering or tweeting me, I have had a seat belt on all morning. Not visible on air because of the angle we are showing but it’s been on, of course… @GMB."
He also added in the video: "Just to reassure people who have been tweeting me this morning to say I haven't had a seat belt on... I have, all morning,g" before moving the camera to show the belt which had almost blended into his dark navy outfit he was wearing. And in response to the first tweet, he said: "You are sure…but wrong."
