Richard Madeley revealed his wife Judy Finnigan is sleeping in the spare room on Good Morning Britain today.
The father-of-two, 66, explained the former This Morning host, 74, had left the couple's bedroom... because of a mouse.
Telling his co-host Charlotte Hawkins about his pest problem, Richard shared: "I was saying earlier that Judy is now sleeping in the spare room because we have got this mouse in the bedroom now.
"It comes out from the bed at about 11pm every night on the dot, virtually to the second.
"I've set traps and I have put boxes out and a lot of people are saying peanut butter. "But I have tried peanut butter and it stinks."
Charlotte pointed out Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the speaker of the House of Commons, has employed his cat to rid Downing Street of mice.
She said: "He's brought his cat, Attlee, down to do this. The speaker said Attlee has been going around to check there were not any mice around, and there were absolutely none.
"So you need to have a word with Sir Lindsay Hoyle and say can you borrow Attlee for the day."
Joking about how Atlee "was the answer" to his mice woes, Richard concluded: "Apparently he's an ace mouser, thank you very much indeed."
After finding out grandmother Judy was in the spare room, viewers tweeted their advice to Richard.
One said: #GMB tell Richard to buy new traps and only handle them with latex gloves on (to load with peanut butter and place) otherwise they smell human of the trap and don't bother with it and live another day. And place the traps around the edges of the room and behind the bed."
While another suggested: "Put chocolate in a humane trap, then release the mouse in wild #gmb."
Richard recently opened up about the time he moved in with his wife during a discussion about mother-in-laws on GMB.
As comedian Jack Whitehall's mum Hilary explained her mother was "reserving judgement" about Jack's dad when she first met him, Richard shared: "Sounds a bit like my former mother in law actually! She came around when Judy and I moved in together and I always remember her coming in and looking at me and then looked at Judy."
He added: "She said to Judy, what's going on?" leaving everyone in hysterics as Richard shared the awkward encounter.
The former This Morning presenters are proud parents to Jack and Chloe, who have a son, Kit and daughter, Bodhi respectively.
