Good Morning Britain presenter Richard Madeley has once again upset viewers this week. The 65-year-old has been called an 'idiot' after interrupting a report about people fleeing war-torn Ukraine, to ask a 'ridiculous' question, much to the disappointment of viewers.
During Tuesday's (March 15) episode of Good Morning Britain, the ITV show was at Ukraine's border with Poland, reports The Sun. Many Ukrainians have been fleeing the country through Poland, with some British people going over to assist.
One Briton who has gone over to help is David Fox-Pitt MBE, who is currently staying in the Polish village of Medyka, one of the main road border crossings between Poland and Ukraine. An events company director from Ardtalnaig in Scotland, David has travelled to Eastern Europe to help fleeing Ukrainians by providing them with pizza.

Whilst Good Morning Britain was speaking to David, Madeley interrupted the segment to ask what some viewers have branded a 'ridiculous' question. The former This Morning presenter queried: "What’s the favourite pizza topping?". David replied: "We do two. The favourite one is the pepperoni with a lovely cheese."
Viewers watching the show from home logged into Twitter to express their anger towards Madeley, who has definitely not fallen short of controversy during his time on the show. Ian Mayer said: "Insightful, intelligent piece on @GMB with an event team from Perthshire cooking food on the Polish border.
"The guy is explaining all that is happening and Richard Madeley interrupted to ask what the favourite Pizza topping is. Lowest common denominator journalism right there."
Aphrodite wrote: "Richard Madeley asking at safety camp, what bereft, frightened, war-torn homeless refugees FAVOURITE PIZZA is? This is a truly ridiculous man. #GMB"
Meanwhile, Sharon Hulbert said: "#GMB With all the questions Richard Madeley could have asked about Ukrainians who finally get to safety, he asked what was most popular pizza topping! Idiot!!"
Last month, Madeley apologised to viewers of Good Morning Britain after he made a controversial comment about death threats being received by Sir Keir Starmer. During the February 15 episode of Good Morning Britain, Madeley was discussing the day's headlines with the Daily Mirror's associate editor, Kevin Maguire, and Andrew Pierce, consultant editor of the Daily Mail.
Whilst discussing death threats that had been sent to Sir Keir Starmer, Madeley seemed to brush off the severity of the situation by saying: "Politicians get that all the time".
After causing quite the stir, Madeley clarified his comment. The following day, he began Good Morning Britain by saying: "It was a really busy show yesterday, we had so much to do. I want to say one thing very quickly at the top here.
"I tried to pose a question in one of our earlier discussions in the programme about how prolific online death threats are. I didn't actually quite address it properly, I didn't go into it enough; I just want to reiterate the obvious statement that death threats clearly are never acceptable."
