Good Morning Britain fans bashed Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on Monday as they grilled a doctor for not working seven days a week.
Dr Frank Chinegwundoh appeared on the ITV talk show as Health Secretary Steve Barclay is set to meet with NHS union leaders to try and avert strikes later today. It comes as millions are currently awaiting hospital appointments due to a major backlog.
Because of the huge waiting times for NHS patients, doctors are being urged to work seven days a week - something that Dr Chinegwundoh disagrees with.

He explained that staff would be spread thinly and most doctors are already on call of a weekend as well as working five days on site throughout the week. But hosts Susanna and Richard bombarded him with questions about what he does with his weekends instead.
Fans on Twitter branded the presenters "out of touch" as they supported the NHS worker. Andy said: "A large proportion of the #NHS already work weekends. To achieve a full 7 day! You will need to either Recruit more staff or redistribute staff from the weekdays. @GMB #GMB"
Laura said: "Why are #gmb pretending they even have an inkling of an understanding about NHS staff rostering. NHS staff also already work 7 day weeks, when you're on call.. you're still working."
Lloyd said: "#gmb You are out of touch!! The NHS are already offering a seven day a week service and have done for a few years now. Appointments are even made on a Sunday evening!!"
