Good Morning Britain viewers were baffled by Liam Payne's interview on today's show.
Monday's edition of the ITV news programme was hosted by Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid. The two covered the dramatic moment from last night's Academy Awards ceremony after Will Smith hit Chris Rock.
The Best Actor winner stormed the stage and attacked the comedian after he made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith's hair loss. Liam Payne was interviewed on the red carpet about the incident, who revealed he used to live near Will Smith.

The One Direction singer said: "I had the pleasure of knowing his son and daughter pretty well and we did Men in Black 3 with him. I believe whatever he felt he did, he had the right to do.
"I also felt there were three losers in one fight. He didn't know, being Chris Rock. He didn't want to do what he had to do, being Will Smith. She did nothing, being Jada.
"It's a very sad thing but it was a very powerful moment to sit and watch one of the world's best emoters speak from the heart. I would rather take the beauty out of the situation than take the pain."
The former X Factor contestant hails from Wolverhampton. However, viewers following the show on Twitter were distracted during the interview by how the singer's accent had changed since moving to the United States.
Conor said: "Liam Payne’s new accent has me more shocked than the Will Smith incident tbh"
Chris added: "I thought Liam Payne was English...his accent .."
Chris commented: "Ok still trying to process Will Smith’s slap and Liam Payne's accent. Monday hang on a minute"
