Good Morning Britain Apologises For *That* Viral C-Bomb During Delta Goodrem Interview

Aussie icon Delta Goodrem was swept up in a NSFW moment on live TV this week when the C-bomb appeared behind her during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.

The singer is in the UK to promote her performance at the Mighty Hoopla festival in London, but she also chatted with morning show hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls about her recent Eurovision stint.

While discussing the song contest — in which she scored fourth place for her powerful ballad “Eclipse” — footage from Delta’s Mighty Hoopla set played in the background, including one moment where a festival-goer in the crowd held up a large fan that simply read: “c**t”.

The ironic twist? The scene flashed across the screen while a news bulletin below promoted Delta’s new single “Pure”. You can’t make this stuff up!

Viewers were quick to share the moment on social media, with one X user saying the “C-bomb is a bit strong for a Tuesday morning” and another writing “someone is in so much trouble” for airing the blunder.

Mighty Hoopla is one of Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ festivals, so we can safely assume the enthusiastic fan meant the C-word in the complimentary way. If not, there’s grounds for some sort of trial, particularly because it was waved at Australia’s sweetheart herself.

A spokesperson for Good Morning Britain apologised for the mistake in a statement to Wales Online.

“We’d like to apologise to any viewers offended by the accidental appearance of the expletive which was featured in concert footage,” they said. “As soon as the error was discovered it was corrected.”

Delta was at the top of fan polls and betting odds towards the end of the Eurovision competition last month, but still did the country proud with her stellar final performance.

In an interview with PEDESTRIAN.TV, the singer said she signed on for the song contest because everything “aligned”.

“I’ve always watched it, but when I really dived into me being a part of Eurovision, I was like, ‘This is all my favourite things in the entire world, of course, this is what I should do. Eurovision is my people! Why wasn’t I here earlier?’” she said.

Here’s hoping her future performances come with a security fan-check at the door!
