Good Morning America hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are leaving the show after their alleged affair was made public, according to reports.
The co-stars, who host GMA3 together have been involved in a series of talks with ABC and an exit agreement is now thought to be in the works.
The news comes after both anchors were previously said to believe there are "no grounds to fire them".
Amy, 49, and T. J., 45, were taken off air last month pending an internal review of their relationship and they remain on hiatus from their show.
A source close to the situation has now revealed the pair are out at ABC following the mediation.
"They have not finished mediation — but, yes, that will be the conclusion," they told Page Six.
While the pair haven't signed any documents, an exit agreement is reportedly in the works and will happen "immediately".
Sources close to ABC also told TMZ that after an "extremely contentious" mediation, the station and its anchors have decided to cut ties.
The insider told the publication that Amy and T.J. were accused of "various forms of misconduct" during the discussions.
Both Amy and T.J. are expected to receive contract payouts.
The Mirror has approached representatives of T.J., Amy, and ABC for comment.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Amy and T.J. are "stronger than ever" and they were thought to be confident about their future at GMA3.
A source close to the pair said: "They're just going along and doing their thing. There's no grounds to fire them on and they believe they won't be fired."
Another told People that Amy and T.J. are "in love" and see no issue with putting their growing romance on display.
"They spent the holidays together and are spending all of their time together right now.
"They are fully in a relationship. They are not hiding anything at all because they have no reason to," they said.
News of the reported affair broke back in November, with a source telling DailyMail.com that they have been dating for the past six months.
The pair have not publicly commented on their relationship.
Amy was married to actor Andrew Shue for 12 years and T.J. was married to attorney Marilee Fiebig for the same amount of time.
